Background: Denis Di Luca, a master ceramicist with a profound grounding in industrial and product design, brings a unique blend of traditional Italian artisanship and contemporary innovation to his Raku firing workshops. Educated in San Marino and Venice, Denis's approach is deeply influenced by the rich tapestry of Italian culture and design ethos. His fascination with ceramics began early, bolstered by a strong foundation in chemistry, allowing him to experiment and perfect rare techniques like Naked Raku.
In his classes at verdraaid.be , Belgium, Denis not only teaches the technical aspects of Raku firing but also instills a sense of creative freedom and exploration.
Through this workshop, Denis aims to impart not just skills, but a new perspective on ceramics, encouraging students to see beyond the clay and glaze, into the soul of the art form. Students leave with more than just technical knowledge; they carry a piece of Denis's passion and the rich heritage of Italian ceramics.
